The Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County recently received a grant for $10,000 from the Safeway Foundation to further CRC’s innovative work in patient navigation. The funds will help support two bilingual patient navigators, located in the Ukiah and Mendocino CRC offices. CRC Patient Navigators serve in a variety of roles, from advocate, to benefits counselor to problem-solver. They work directly with the patient as well as their families to overcome a variety of barriers they may face in seeking care in a complex health care system.
