MacCallum House Dine Out Supports CRCMC

Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County and Mendocino Coast Clinics were the recent recipients of the MacCallum House Restaurant’s dine out fundraiser.  Both organizations provide critical health care services and work closely together, so it is natural for them to collaborate on this project.  The Dine Out, which was the net proceeds of a Wednesday evening’s food and beverages, raised a total of $1,460 for the two organizations to share.

It's Not About the Fish

For those who have read “It’s Not About the Bike” by Lance Armstrong, a cancer survivor and Tour De France winner, you will understand the title.  I am writing about what I “got” from a recent fly fishing program for men with cancer, suggested by the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County.  And more than the words, I will include some photos, because I really want more men with cancer to have the experience I found with Reel Recovery, and I hope the words and photos will get them to go.
