Colorectal Cancer 2010 Fact Sheet
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!
The Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County has promoted awareness of colorectal cancer in a series of four articles throughout the month of March.
- Article 1l has it's focus on early colorectal signs, recommended screening and available resources.
- Article 2 concentrates on risk factors. Research has shown that people with certain risk factors are more likely than others to develop colorectal cancer.
- Article 3 concentrates on prevention strategies with an emphasis on nutrition.
- Article 4 continues with an emphasis on diet as a preventive strategy and offers recipes ideas. These recipes use affordable ingredients that are both tasty as well as highly nutritious.
